One of two statues which stood at the eastern end of the 1st Court of the Temple of King Taharqa (Khunefertemra, ruled c.690-664 bc) at Kawa, where they flanked the entrance to the Hypostyle Hall. Taharqa completed the temple in the 10th year of his reign and dedicated it mainly to Amun-Re to whom the ram was sacred. Between the knees is a small standing statuette representing the king. Around the base is carved his royal titulary.
